Production Operators of Texas LLC is a contract oil and gas lease operating company formed in July of 2013. We are fully insured and have an active P-5 with the Railroad Commission of Texas. Our staff and ownership have over 100 years of combined oil industry experience.

Our team is comprised of knowledgeable, experienced, and qualified personnel who are committed to providing efficient services to our customers.

Our objective at Production Operators of Texas is to provide a cost-effective solution for day to day operations for oil producers, geologists, and investors. Utilizing our services to operate your leases will allow you to use your valuable time in oil exploration. We can take care of as much of or as little of your projects as you like.

Partner/President 2013 to Present: Production Operators of Texas is a contract lease operating company that was formed July 1, 2013. We currently operate 15 wells in the Abilene area and provide on-site supervision and consulting services for drilling, completion and production operations. We are fully insured and have an active P-5 with the Railroad Commission of Texas.

1989-2013 Production and Drilling Superintendent with LeClair Operating Co., Inc.: A contract oil & gas operating company that operated 60 to 80 wells at any given time. Duties included all aspects of work required to successfully drill over 300 vertical wells ranging in depth from 900' to 9000' in the North West Central Texas area. Responsible for working up AFE's, working up casing and cement programs, filing needed TRRC forms and reports, completing productive wells and plugging non-productive wells. Responsible for building battery facilities, setting pumping units, laying flow-lines and maintaining all equipment on the production end.

1980-1989 Well Service and Roustabout hand with I.A. Parmer Oil Operator: A small independent oil producer that owned most of the service equipment required to produce and repair existing oil wells. Started at the ground level on work-over rigs, reverse circulating units and roustabout work. Acquired much experience with down-hole tools and procedures.

Founding Partner/Vice President 2013 to Present

Dale Doby is a 1979 graduate of McMurry Collage with a Bachelor of Science degree.

1980-1985: Worked for Pengo Industries.

1985-2000: Worked for Wester Services Incorporated. While at Wester Services the size of the company increased from 3 work-over rigs to 24 work-over rigs. Wester Services sold to Basic Energy Services in 2000.

2000-2012: Worked for Basic Energy Services as North Central Texas division manager, the area included the Barnett shale.

1980-Present: A partner in several oilfield related businesses.

Chuck Doby is a 1970 graduate of Texas A&M University and a Registered Professional Engineer (TX 37593). He belongs to four professional engineering societies as well as several local business organizations. He is active in the community having served on the board of directors of the Abilene Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, Fairway Oaks Country Club, MHMR, YMCA, and the Texas Landmarks Commission.

Mr. Doby established CADCO in 1980 and has been responsible for project management and engineering design for numerous educational projects. This expertise encompasses mechanical design, electrical design, soils analysis, foundation design, storm water drainage and retention design, and structural design of various campuses and individual facilities.

Mr. Doby provides CADCO with a variety and depth of engineering experience. Federal Government experience includes four projects for the Navy and several projects at Dyess AFB, including the B-1B crew training facility. Private sector experience includes schools, high and low-rise commercial structures, shopping centers, natatoriums, gymnasiums, multi-use recreational facilities, churches, industrial plants, and medical facilities.

Prior to forming CADCO, Mr. Doby was chief civil/structural engineer and head of the civil engineering department for a 160 person consulting engineering firm. He was in charge of design and construction documents for over 500 million dollars worth of construction including lead project engineer for a 200 million dollar power plant in Nevada. Responsibilities included coordination of all engineering, cost accounting, on-site observations, client contact, and contract administration.

Laura Young, Office Manager, has worked in the oil industry since 1980. She began her career at Dunigan Tool & Supply where she was the supervisor of the tubular department. She has also been the office manager for 3 drilling companies since 2001. Her attention to detail and her expertise in auditing invoices have proven to save us and our customers money.
